We were going through some boxes of baby things the day we brought Taylee home from the hospital to see what we could still use for her. Ryker found a pair of mittens and ran to his room. He came out wearing his snow boots and said he wanted to go outside to build a snowman. I told him there wasn't any snow so he couldn't build a snow man. That didn't seem to matter. He wanted to build a snowman right now. I told him he could when it snowed. He went to the window, turned to me and said "Sunshine day?" Yes, it was a sunshine day. There was no snow to build a snowman. He then said "Snow fall down?" Yes, when the snow falls down you can build a snowman. He watched out the window for a few more seconds and then said "I'll wait."
For days he was attached to those snow boots. He would take off his shoes and socks and replace them with his snow boots. We eventually had to put the boots out of his reach. He's pretty determined and typically wants the opposite of what we suggest. When it snows he'll probably want his swim suit.
