Ryker celebrated his 2nd birthday on April 21st. I can hardly believe it's been 2 years already!

He loved everything about his birthday parties...balloons, toys, family, treats. With every gift we got a big "Woo hoo" or "Woooow!" Everything was the most exciting thing ever!!
Brian had to leave for a work conference the morning of Ryker's birthday so we did all the celebrating the night before.
In this photo he is opening Jaxon's gift, Oliver and Company. I tried to sway Jaxon into picking Tarzan, but he reminded me that we had told him he could pick whatever he wanted for Ryker. Ryker loves the movie so I guess he chose wisely!
Ryker with his "cake"...A soy ice cream sandwich. The first time he tried it he didn't know what to think. It was the coldest thing he had ever had! It didn't take long to discover that it was absolute goodness!! 
Ryker is a very busy boy! He loves to play baseball and basketball outside. He loves anything that includes a ball or his brother. He loves animals...especially ducks. Our neighbors have chickens and he loves to run into their backyard and yell "Duck!"

Nothing says "Happy Birthday" like a bunch of needles in your arm!
It was the absolute pits to say the least.
After 3 failed attempts by three different people, we took the drive down to Primary Children's to let the experts take a stab at him. Sweet success!

He continues to be a really picky eater, but he is doing a little better lately. His food allergies have not improved so we will wait another 6 months and hope for some good news. He loves bananas, cold cereal, bread (usually w/nothing on it), pancakes, and treats.
He is talking a lot more (says about 35 different words) and is mimicking what we say.
Ryker is still our super tiny guy. Which is okay because he still likes to be toted around :)
